How to send your data file to GladstoneArticleID: 117015 Category: File Maintenance Date Added: 6/4/2002 Date Last Updated: 1/5/2009
Summary:
A Gladstone technician may ask that you e-mail your data file to our
company in order to review your file for potential errors.
Steps for ShoWorks 2009 Users:
- Click the Office Button
, then Utilities, then "Send Data File to Gladstone".
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
Steps for ShoWorks 2006 or ShoWorks 2009 Users:
-
Make sure that you are running the latest version of ShoWorks. The
version number can be found by Running ShoWorks and selecting Help, then About
ShoWorks. The version number should begin with 11 for users of ShoWorks
2006 and 10 for users of ShoWorks 2003. For example, 11.06. To verify
that you have the latest version, check our updates
page from the web site.
-
Run ShoWorks and note the name and location of your data file. This is
shown in the title bar at the VERY top of the ShoWorks screen.

-
Close ShoWorks
-
Go to our upload site at fairsoftware.com/upload
.
-
Upload your data file (from the location found in step 1) to our
site. Note: this may take a long time depending on the speed of your
Internet connection. This may vary from under one minute to over an hour.
-
When your upload is complete (please make sure it is complete, as the process
may take a long time), go to our contact page and
notify us that you have sucessfully uploaded your file and let us know why you
are sending it (what we need to do). If you are sending the data file
because you have encountered errors, state EXACTLY how we can reproduce the
errors in a step-by-step fashion.
Notes:
Do not send the file ShoWorks 2006.swk (for ShoWorks 2006
users) and do not send the file ShoWorks 2003.mdb (for
ShoWorks 2003 users). This is the program file and does not contain your
data.
